I dealt with that enough in elementary school, thanks - I'm tired of it. What about you guys? I'm aware that my stance isn't all that common - although I posted something on Twitter earlier today and I had a few people agreeing with me, and I know enough other people who don't like pranks it just seems like people get so wrapped up in "oh, it's just a prank, bro!" or being "funny" and insisting that you "just don't get the joke" that they fail to respect that not everyone likes being made fun of. People usually aren't willing to test my dedication to my threats so they don't pull anything. I gave him a bit of a cold response back, but well, I'm willing to look cold if it means that people will respect my boundaries. I'm just kind of irked right now because I posted a status warning people that I will end friendships over pranks, and a bunch of people liked it, then someone commented "No fun". Or some of the cute ones that companies and websites pull on April Fool's Day that are, you know, an obvious joke.īut it's easier to just draw a hard line on pranks, especially for April Fool's Day. do this a lot to each other), or something silly like that isn't really a big deal, at least not to me. I'm alright with some pranks for instance, claiming the release of a movie that isn't real, or saying Monstercat will stop producing music, messaging my roommate "I have a question" and when she responds "yeah?" asking her "why are you so evil?" (we. I guess maybe I'm unnecessarily uptight about pranks. And I still have enough stupid encounters to be anxious about!!! My entire life is pretty carefully orchestrated so that I can minimize the number of situations in which I look like a fool or an idiot - because my anxiety grabs hold of literally anything my brain can come up with. It's probably the only thing that actually keeps me up at night on a regular basis. Looking stupid is my absolute worst fear. The deal with me is, I have pretty severe social anxiety. We've all heard about the prank that caused someone to get injured, or the one in which someone got really excited over something, only to find out it wasn't real (this was the worst! fake lottery tickets come to mind). It involves capitalizing on the trust that someone has in you and breaking it, thus making them look like an idiot. Geek Prank is one of the most feature-rich prank sites on the Web, and with this site, fooling your friends should not be an issue. This will make the prank site more realistic. The reason why is because most pranks are unfunny and not well thought out. Tip: when you are pranking your friends with this trick, make sure you press F11 on Windows or CMD + Control + F on macOS to make the browser go full screen. So April Fool's Day is tomorrow, and I'm basically planning to, like, turn off my phone and stay in my apartment all day playing video games or something.
